Church Home Teddy Bears
Welcome to Teddy Bears Carers and Tots group. We are a lively committee run group who meet every Wednesday during term time from 1.30- 3.00 pm in the Methodist Halls at Southdown situated above Somerfield Supermarket. Please use front door only when you come.
The group is aimed at children from birth to 4 years and provides a large hall for bikes, cars, buggies etc as well as a smaller hall for quieter activities playdough, blocks, trains, home corner, slide and a different craft activity every week. There is a separate safe and carpeted area for babies.
The cost is 80p per adult and 20p per child, which includes juice and biscuits at about 2pm and tea for the adults. Toys are packed away at 2.45pm to allow mothers to pick children up from school and we finish the afternoon with singing or a story.
We do run special events such as a Christmas Party and a Teddy Bears Picnic.
As the group is under the auspices of Southdown Methodist Church opportunities are provided for children's praise services at Christmas, Easter and Harvest.
